BGfm Community Radio

BGfm was founded by Stephen Bower in August 2017 www.bgfm.wales - BGfm is a Community Radio, Media broadcasting social enterprise serving Blaenau Gwent and beyond. The station transmits radio locally via 97.3 FM and www.bgfm.wales click listen now, BGfm currently has in excess of 35 volunteers who take part in the day to day operation of the station, with many keen to develop their skills on a more informal and freeform academic level. BGfm can proudly boast 500 plus visitors a month and is very intergenerational with learning skills for young and old alike. Many volunteers who have grasped the opportunity of enhancing their skills have been able to move on to further education, example university and into working careers.
