Radio Day Night

The city is beautiful at night. There is danger, but also freedom. Sleepless people, artists, murderers, gamblers roam these parts; the taverns, the chip shops, the cafes are open. We greet one another, we get to know one another, those who live by night. People forgive their vices. The light of day accuses, the darkness of night absolves. The transformed ones emerge, men dressed as women, because nature tells them to, and no one disturbs them. No one asks for the bill at night. The crippled, the blind, the lame, who are rejected during the day, emerge. It's a mess, the night in the city. Even the dogs emerge, the homeless ones. They wait for night to scavenge for scraps, how many dogs manage to survive without anyone. At night, the city is a civilized city.
