West Kent Radio has been licensed by Ofcom to provide a community radio service to the people of Southborough, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and surrounding villages. It is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation run by volunteers.
The station aims to broadcast news, information, sport and entertainment programmes to the local community, to provide a platform for local individuals, groups, and communities to share their experiences and to enable local musicians to showcase their talent. It will continue the work of Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells and serve the patients in the Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge Cottage hospitals, collecting and playing requests and providing health-related information.
